The Kimmel Center is bringing the award winning (count them: 11 Tony's!) hit Hamilton to Philadelphia for the 2018/19 season. Tickets have been near impossible to get since it debuted on Broadway in 2015. Actually the off-Broadway debut in February 2015 was completely sold out! Will it be any easier for Philly fans to get a seat for the show? Not really.
The only way to guarantee tickets to the show is to buy a full season subscription for the 2017/18 Broadway season and then renew it for the 2018/19 season. If you have the funds for all of the above then you will have the chance to get tickets for the Philadelphia premiere of Hamilton BEFORE tickets even become available to the general public! Subscription packages range from $219.00 to $839.00 so if you want to beat the line for tickets then you can purchase them online at kimmelcenter.org/broadway17-18. While I can't afford a 17/18 subscription and then renewal for 18/19 right now, I won't be "throwing away my shot" at trying my luck for general ticket sales in the future.
