LA ROCA MANAYUNK

Thinking about where to go this Taco Tuesday? We recommend trying La Roca, the newest Mexican spot in Manayunk (4161 Main Street). It took over what used to be Union Taco after it officially closed in January.

Not only does La Roca feature mouth-watering tacos and "Platos Pequeños," it has an extensive tequila selection. The service was also quick and friendly; soon after we received our food, the owner came by to welcome and check on us.

We started our night with complimentary chips and salsa, a choice of green or red salsa that varied in spice.

To Drink:

"Culo Grande Rita"

A 36 oz margarita big enough for two!

Don't let the $25 price tag turn you away. The bartender does not skimp out on the tequila, and it basically was the size of my head!

To Eat:

Chicken Tacos with lime, radish, onion, and cilantro (pictured above).

Ropa Vieja Tostones (pictured below) that consisted of pulled flank steak with garlic aioli over crispy tostones (fried plantain slice).
